The Junior Woman's Club of Walpole (JWCW) was chartered on January 21, 1988 at the Walpole Public Library. There were 15 original members. The Club is a member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC). The GFWC is the world's oldest and largest international service organization of volunteer women. The members organize programs and services in the areas of conservation, education, home life, international and public affairs, and the arts.
We meet one Wednesday evening per month from September to May, aligning with the school year. This year’s meetings will take place in the function room at Conrad’s Restaurant and typically last 1.5 – 2 hours. We have social time at 7, and meetings begin at 7:30. We review our current priorities, upcoming events, and discuss any new fundraising ideas or beneficiaries that our members may bring forth. The level of effort of our club members is truly dependent on their personal preference. Whether you chair or volunteer for an event, provide a new fundraising idea, or simply help us publicize our events, our members’ contributions are all critical to our success and very much appreciated.
